Meet Dr. Shivan Amin
Founder & Double Board-Certified ENT Specialist
Otolaryngology, Head & Neck & Facial Plastic Surgery
Dr. Shivan Amin brings over 15 years of distinguished experience in otolaryngology to Midtown ENT, which he founded to deliver exceptional, personalized care to the Atlanta community. Double board-certified in both Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAOHNS) and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), Dr. Amin completed his fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University.
Dr. Amin's academic foundation began at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned his BS in Premedicine/Biology, followed by his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His comprehensive surgical training included a general surgery internship at UC San Francisco and a four-year otolaryngology residency at Kaiser Permanente in the Oakland/Bay Area.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Amin served as Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at Emory-Decatur Medical Center for 7 years, and previously held the position of Adjunct Associate Professor in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University. His commitment to advancing the field extends to his role as a clinical advisor and mentor at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he guides biomedical engineering students and early-stage research teams in preclinical pathways and commercialization.
As an accomplished researcher and innovator, Dr. Amin has contributed to groundbreaking work in corneal neovascularization therapeutics and serves as co-inventor on related patents. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Antirotational Technologies, where he served as COO from 2018 to 2022.
Dr. Amin specializes in advanced sinus surgery, facial plastic surgery, and comprehensive ENT care, consistently delivering patient-centered treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs and concerns.
